Avanoo is now ready to welcome many more good people. Perhaps we can be just slightly self-promoting as we quietly invite the world in to our little haven. What do you like about this place, this global home town we call Avanoo?
How do you express yourself artistically? Through writing, music, visual art... horseback riding? Post any artistic expressions in which ever medium you choose here!
Simply post a saying or quote that you have read or heard that means something to you. If it's had an impact on your life in any way, perhaps it will for someone else too!
Here we are... I just uploaded a little clip on YouTube and here is the first contribution to the post.
I hope you will join... it would be great to see how we look like, we talk, the accent and so on.
Don't be ashamed then!
Piggybacking off of Gratitude is another 'think about your day' project. What have you learned today?
Post what you have learned today. Don't post dumb stuff, though: I don't care what you learned about math, unless it suddenly shines the light into it. Post your most important life experience, lesson, or knowledge that you've gained today. Try for at least one every day--otherwise, you've wasted a day of your life, haven't you?
The idea behind this project is that, together, we can make a lot of people happier simply by sharing happy thoughts about them. And when the people with whom we've shared the happy thoughts share happy thoughts with other people and post them on Avanoo, we'll be creating our own little movement.... and building a community of people who feel good when they make others (and themselves) a little bit happier. And these are exactly the kinds of people that Wilford and I think can change the world!
Step 1: Write a happy thought about a person and post it in this project.
Step 2: Share that thought with the person by emailing them or using our share functionality.
Step 3: Ask that person to write and post on Avanoo a happy on thought about someone else.
Step 4: Repeat the first three steps as often as you want!
September 21 is the day the UN recognizes as international day of peace, a day in which people are incouraged to put down their differences and weapons individual celebrations is highly encouraged, suggestions include prayer meditation lighting candles and making a new friend. so what will you do for peace day?

Guerilla Compassion is a grassroots 'movement' committed to loving everyone and everything around us. We believe in performing random acts of love - surprising one another with our ability to be compassionate in the most unseeming of places. We ask for nothing in return - except for the hope that you will pay the love forward.
Who is the "real" me?
Most of us don't think about it until we are bombarded with that question. Somewhere in the race of life, we forgot who we really are and what would really make us happy! When was the last time you discovered or pondered over what would make you happy?
I would love to be unaffected by what others think about me. Their opinions, positive or derogatory, is not real me! It is one person's thought only! It cannot and should not rule my peace of mind...
When did you last ponder over who the "real" you was?
We would love to know the real you. Let us share a few lines here...
On account of the fact that my children have been saddled with the enormous responsibility of having to posit to memory certain radio songs that I will blurt out and declare, "promise me now that you'll make sure to play this one at my funeral, don't forget" ~ it seems to me that I owe them a written list.
'Cuz it's my party, and I'll spin disks if I want to.
So on that note, if I should die before I wake, these are the songs I want played at my Wake.
